Circuit Clerk - Taney County, MO

The calendar year for the Taney County Judiciary is divided into three terms. The beginning day of each term is the first Thursday of February, June and October. The term helps to organize the management of jury selections which are computer generated through an automatic process.

In this process, the State of Missouri has created a master list from the Director of Revenue driver's list, Missouri voter's registration list and Taney County's personal property list.

At the beginning of each term 750 names are drawn and questionnaires are mailed to each, upon receiving these forms back each form is reviewed. From that list a jury pool, is created for each jury trial.

We then issue a summons that would include the time, date and location for the requested appearance of the juror.

Please be sure to read the letter instructing you to call 417-546-7236 before you appear for jury duty. The machine message will direct you with the trial status.

Jurors are entitled to receive $20.00 per day plus mileage at the rate of .07 cents per mile.
